I did manage to keep off about 30 pounds from last year, however I am not near where I would like to be. Another 30 would be great! And I know I can do it!
After being a part of the Fitness Challenge last year, I know what I have to do! Unfortunately it involves the "E" word...something I have loathed all of my life (perhaps that is why I am the size I am!)
EXERCISE....
Webster's definition of exercise: a regular series of specific movements designed to strengthen or develop some part of the body.
My definition of exercise: Extreme mental distress, Unbearable physical pain, intense feelings of suffering...(okay, this is actually the definition of torture...but it fits well for me!!!)
I am not sure why I have a such strong dislike for exercise, it does ultimately make me feel and look better. I just dream of the magic pill or diet that will transform me into Carrie Underwood without having to break a sweat...I know, not gonna happen!
It is the inevitable truth - I have to EXERCISE!
I started a boot camp yesterday and other than feeling as though my limbs need to be amputated, I am excited for the new challenge. With summer creeping around the corner, I am excited to get back into shape so that I can keep up with my energetic 3 year old, and maybe wear a bathing suit without being mistaken for Shamu.
